We offer support for working parents and those with caring responsibilities. Working parents have access to a modern parental leave policy that encourages co-parenting and features 26 weeks paid leave, superannuation on unpaid parental leave and a temporary break from billable expectations for lawyers returning from more than three months parental leave. Our parents can also access transition coaching, priority placement for onsite childcare and on demand 'emergency' childcare.
We also provide support for those with other caring responsibilities and offer generous leave provisions.

Business Operations delivers excellent service and keeps the firm running smoothly. They work across the firm to deliver a wide range of services including facilities, guest relations, records, catering, printing and document support and our art collection.
Our Finance team drives planning and performance tracking - including financial and statutory reporting, management reporting, expense control, capital management, tax, payroll, accounts payable, risk management and external audit.
The firm uses technology to support all aspects of its business in order to build our communication and collaboration capability. Our team of technical and project-focused experts work together to resolve challenges, by creating robust and sustainable solutions for the business.
Partnering with legal teams and clients, our award-winning Integrated Legal Solutions team enhances Allens’ offering using technology and innovative thinking in equal measure. They provide leading-edge legal technology, review services and paralegal support.

Our Knowledge team equips lawyers with the information and knowledge resources they need so that they can work more efficiently and effectively to provide the right, and timely, advice to their clients.
Our team works directly with external clients to ensure that the appropriate structures and processes are in place so that they are making the most of their own knowledge resources.
Our Marketing and Client Services team works with our legal teams to build successful and long-lasting relationships with our clients. They are responsible for identifying and pursuing business development opportunities, as well as building the firm's brand, media profile and relationships with key audiences.
The Office of General Counsel advises the firm on legal matters. This dedicated team of lawyers and support staff are responsible for protecting the interests and reputation of the firm.
The People and Development team partners with firm leaders to create the leadership, capability, culture and performance required to achieve our strategy. They collaborate with the entire business to create an environment where people can excel.
With a deep understanding of the legal industry, the Pricing and Practice Economics team supports practice groups achieve their strategies. They are responsible for pricing strategies, commercial management, driving the firm's innovation program and developing and implementing practice strategy across the firm.
Critical to our success as a business, the Practice Support team proactively delivers high quality administrative and practice management support to legal teams, and the firm's clients. They work collaboratively to create efficiencies and implement the firm's policies and procedures. They think creatively and adapt our approach to ensure we meet the demands of the ever-changing legal market.
To make sure we keep discovering the best talent, we also run a 10-month National Secretarial Trainee Program. Trainees spend 3 months in each of our legal practices to gain a better understanding of our practice areas while establishing networks within the firm.
