Allens has advised property fund manager CorVal Partners Limited and family office RF Capital in their purchase of six poultry processing facilities across Australia from Inghams Property Management Pty Ltd.
CorVal and RF Capital purchased the poultry processing facilities in New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia for approximately $100 million and will lease the facilities back to Inghams.
The leases on the properties will run to 2034.
The Allens team on the matter was led by Partner Victoria Holthouse.
Ms Holthouse said the deal was a significant one in the Australian agribusiness sector.
'This is a significant venture for RF Capital and CorVal, who have seen an opportunity in the strong poultry market in Australia to partner with Inghams to establish a secure long-term investment,' she said.
'We were extremely pleased to be involved in this deal as it once again showcases the firm's strong and growing agribusiness expertise, particularly in the areas of funds management, real estate and banking & finance.'
