Allens has appointed six new partners, effective 1 July: Valeska Bloch, Liam Chambers, Rosannah Healy, Eve Lynch, Alexandra Peace and Robert Walker.
The new partners join four others who have recently been welcomed to the partnership: Paul Brittain (Banking and Finance), Nicholas Creed (Banking and Finance), Craig Milner (Tax) and Michael Park (Technology, Media and Telecommunications).

The appointments reflect Allens' continuing market strength, with six practice areas and four Australian offices represented among the group.

The 10 new partners are:
Valeska Bloch
Technology, Media, Telecommunications & Data | Sydney
Valeska advises clients on major technology and telecommunications projects throughout their lifecycle. She also works with clients to leverage their data for business growth and advises on data governance, privacy and cyber security. She is the co-head of Allens Accelerate, Allens' high-growth companies practice and is a member of our Inclusion and Diversity Council and Women at Allens committee. Valeska is currently on parental leave following the birth of her son.
Paul Brittain
Banking and Finance | Brisbane
Paul has extensive international cross-border experience in many aspects of finance, including corporate, leveraged, structured, trade, project and ECA finance, acting for financiers, syndicates, sponsors and borrowers. Born in Papua New Guinea, Paul currently divides his time between the Brisbane and Port Moresby offices.
Liam Chambers
Real Estate | Brisbane
Liam specialises in the structuring and development of real estate projects and infrastructure projects with property aspects. His practice has a particular focus on government land transactions, major projects and the development of industrial and commercial properties, and he acts across a range of market sectors.
Nicholas Creed
Banking and Finance | Perth
Nicholas works in banking and finance, acting for borrowers and lenders across many areas, including real estate, resources and general corporate finance sectors. He has particular expertise and experience acting for Asian financiers funding projects in Australia, South East Asia and Africa. With more than 25 years' experience, Nicholas joined Allens from King & Wood Mallesons in December 2016. Nicholas is a member of our Reconciliation Action Plan and Charity committees.
Rosannah Healy
Competition | Melbourne
Rosannah advises clients on competition and consumer law in both commercial and litigious matters. Her areas of expertise include mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, supply and distribution arrangements, cartels, the Australian Consumer Law, marketing and advertising clearance, ACCC investigations and compliance programs. Rosannah is a member of our firm's Women at Allens committee.
Eve Lynch
Energy, Resources and Infrastructure | Perth
Eve is a specialist in native title and environment and planning, and helps clients navigate the approvals process and complex regulatory frameworks for their projects, particularly in the resources, government, utilities and real estate sectors. Eve is a member of Allens' Inclusion and Diversity Council.
Craig Milner
Tax | Sydney
Craig is an acknowledged leader in corporate tax with particular expertise and experience in infrastructure, property and private equity. He joined Allens this year from another major firm, where he was the tax practice leader.
Michael Park
Technology, Media and Telecommunications & Data | Melbourne
Michael is an internationally recognised leader in technology, telecommunications, data privacy and infrastructure, with particular expertise in major procurements and outsourcing, cyber advisory, and commercial and regulatory telecommunications matters. Michael joined Allens this year from another major firm, where he was Asia Pacific Technology Group Leader and Head of the Australian Privacy Practice.
Alexandra Peace
Real Estate | Sydney
Alexandra works with public and private clients on property development and general commercial real estate transactions. Alexandra's work involves her in all phases of a project's lifecycle and she has led a number of substantial transaction at Allens, and previously as senior legal counsel at a major supermarket chain.
Robert Walker
Competition | Melbourne
Robert secures ACCC merger clearances for domestic and global deals, handles ACCC investigations and litigation and advises clients on managing competition and consumer law risks. Robert works across a number of sectors and has particular expertise in financial services, healthcare, energy, mining and retail. Robert spent seven years with Allens' alliance partner, Linklaters, in London and Brussels, where he worked on numerous cross border transactions and global antitrust investigations. He is an active member of ALLin, Allens' LGBTI network.
