Allens has again topped Bloomberg, Debtwire and Inframation league tables in the first quarter of 2019.
In the syndicated loans league tables, Allens was ranked number one borrower's legal adviser in the Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan) for deal volume by Debtwire and Bloomberg. In addition, Allens was ranked first by Debtwire in the borrower's legal adviser league table for deal value.
Allens advised on some of the most significant syndicated loan deals during the first three months of 2019, including ESR Real Estate (Australia)'s acquisition of Propertylink Group, the proposed TPG-Vodafone merger and the refinancing of Origin Energy's existing loan facilities.
Banking & Finance Practice leader, Alan Maxton, said that being recognised as a leading law firm in the Asia-Pacific is testament to the firm's expertise in advising on complex and challenging deals.
'We are delighted that once again we have been ranked the top borrower law firm by volume of deals in our region. We very much appreciate the fact that our corporate borrower clients trust us to advise them on their strategically important transactions', he said.
Allens was also ranked the top Australasian law firm for project finance, on the Inframation league table for the first quarter of 2019.
'Last year, Allens topped the Inframation project finance league table for deal value in Australia and doing so again in first quarter of 2019 is a great achievement. Our clients continue to assign us their most complex and highest value projects, a recent example being the high-profile restructuring of the New Royal Adelaide Hospital and the privatisation of the Victorian Land Titles Registry,' said Allens' Head of Project Finance, Michael Ryan.
