The Allens Confidential podcast has begun its third season, following the success of seasons one and two. Produced and hosted by Allens lawyers, Roseanna Bricknell and Geneva Sekula, Allens Confidential gives listeners insight into what it's really like to work at Allens.
In each episode, the hosts interview Allens staff about their life and work. Seasons one and two featured a diversity of interviewees, including Managing Partner Richard Spurio, Chief People Officer Jane Lewis and former summer clerks Georgie Kilborn and Xander Jackman.
Season three also features an interesting mix of people and topics, from digital data management, preparing for the clerkship application process to Allens' global alliance with Linklaters.
Episode one, released in August 2019, focuses on Allens' Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice, as hosts speak to Partner Valeska Bloch and Managing Associate Dave Rountree. Later in season three, Graduate Resourcing Manger Lauren Kay and Senior Consultant Manreet Singh provide insight into the clerkship application and candidate selection process.
Allens Confidential first launched in 2018 to help students understand the firm's culture and people, in an informal, authentic way. Once prospective clerks themselves, the hosts ask questions they remember wanting answered, bringing a people-centric approach to the 'opaque' world of commercial law.
