Allens is accelerating its efforts in legal product development with the launch of an expanded Legal Product Lab and the appointment of Penelope Barr to head up the Lab. The investment is in response to growing client demand for efficient, technology-enabled solutions.
Penelope has more than 20 years' experience across digital product development, software development and business transformation. Her previous role was with ANZ, where she led the Centre of Expertise exploring new ways of delivery, transformation and technology.
Penelope will lead a growing team of product development experts and technologists, partnering with legal specialists across the firm, to build the firm's suite of legal, regulatory risk and compliance products.
Commenting on the appointment, Anna Collyer, Partner and Head of Innovation, said: 'Penelope's appointment recognises the opportunities we see in the market in relation to innovation and product delivery, and allows us to build on our existing product portfolio to further meet market demand.
'We're delighted to welcome Penelope to Allens, where her experience with startups and scaleups, right through to large, complex organisations, will bring significant value to the firm and its clients.'
The Legal Product Lab plays a major role expanding our suite of products that form our a+ solutions offering.
