Allens has advised an Equilibrium Capital led consortium on their investment in one of Australia's largest privately owned fresh produce businesses, Perfection Fresh.
The investment will support Perfection Fresh's growth strategy, including building on its current facilities, growing its controlled environment agriculture footprint, and expansion into Asia and other international markets.
The Allens team brought deep private capital and agriculture sector experience to this transaction.
'We are delighted to advise the Equilibrium Capital led consortium on their strategic partnership with Perfection Fresh. We look forward to the exciting growth opportunities that this will provide for consortium members and the business,' said lead Partner Jessica Choong.
'As is demonstrated by this deal, Australian agriculture continues to be an appealing opportunity for international investors and private capital investors in particular,' said Partner and Co-Head of Private Equity Mark Malinas.
'We expect to see continued investment activity in this sector.'
