Allens has advised Barings and Rest on the acquisition of Access Logistics Park, a prime 20-hectare industrial site in south-west Sydney that will be redeveloped for the state-of-the-art $400 million Mamre Road Logistics Estate.
Access Logistics Park will deliver 90,000 square metres of sustainable, high-quality logistics and industrial space across 20 hectares of land.
The development is strategically located near major transport infrastructure, including the M7, M4 and M12 motorways, the Western Sydney Airport and Aerotropolis, and the future Western Sydney Intermodal Terminal. As part of an anticipated six-star Green Rating, it will incorporate renewable energy generation, water recycling, electric vehicle charging stations and native landscaping.
'We were delighted to assist on this landmark project, part of a wave of investment in south-west Sydney set to transform the area into one of the most advanced, connected logistics and freight hubs in the country,' said lead partner Michael Graves.
'Driven by a formidable private capital partnership, the Access Logistics Park caters to growing demand for logistics and distribution facilities driven by the ongoing surge of ecommerce in Australia.
'We look forward to seeing this development – and south-west Sydney's industrial corridor more broadly – take shape.'
