Allens has advised Campus Living Villages on the project financing of a new student accommodation facility at Griffith University in Queensland.
The new 11-storey facility, financed through a public-private partnership-style concession framework, is situated within Campus Living Village's existing Griffith University Village and will house an additional 460 students.

'We're seeing an increase in purpose-built student accommodation transactions in the market following a period of low activity in the past few years.
'Our sense is that this is in part due to the resurgence of overseas student numbers following COVID-19 and in part due to universities' desire to be able to offer housing to new students without placing additional pressure on the private housing market.'
