About Sarah Delaney

Sarah is a Managing Associate qualified in Irish, English and Australian law. Before joining Allens, she worked in Dublin and London on a range of banking and finance transactions.

Sarah's area of expertise is in domestic and international financings, where she has wide-ranging experience in syndicated lending, bilateral, secured and structured financings, with particular focus on corporate and event-driven transactions, including acquisition financing. She acts for corporates, banks, non-bank lenders and private capital debt providers across a variety of sectors and jurisdictions. Sarah's engagement with commercial objectives allows her to quickly identify and prioritise the key issues for clients, and apply a solutions-based approach to transactions.

Sarah has worked on:

  • Treasury Wine Estates: in relation to its ongoing financing arrangements with domestic and international banks, including sustainability-linked lending and acquisition financing.
  • CSL Limited: on the implementation of a common terms deed structure and its ongoing financing arrangements with domestic and international banks.
  • Orora Limited: in respect of its financing for the acquisition of Saverglass SAS and the refinancing of its global syndicated facilities agreement and its ongoing financing arrangements.
  • SEEK Limited: in relation to the establishment of a Common Terms Deed structure and its ongoing group corporate debt arrangements.
  • BlueScope Steel Limited: on its ongoing financing arrangements with domestic and international banks.
  • EBOS Group Limited: on its ongoing financing arrangements with domestic and international banks.
  • Vicinity Centres: advising the lenders to Vicinity Centres across the group's bank debt facilities.
  • AGIG: acting for the financiers in respect of the establishment of a new multi-source debt funding platform for AGIG.
  • AustralianSuper: in connection with the $1.9 billion acquisition of a 70% stake in Australia Tower Network from Optus’ parent company Singtel.
  • Pacific National: in relation to the refinancing of its Syndicated Facility Agreement and its ongoing financing requirements.
  • HgCapital: advising as Australian counsel in respect of its acquisition-related financing arrangements and ongoing financing requirements.
